Lessons I learned from cleaning the refrigerator

Well I have had the two grand kids aged 5&3 for 4 days I love them but was glad when mama came to pick them up .Tired and wanting to do the nothing ,list a little on ebay,then looking around the house I find little stickers Emily had posted for me to find,made me smile .So I told God this is a beautiful  day you have made God,what do I do today?I wanted to have a pity party and say well I have no place to go or job to go to now,but God reminded me the kids were sent by me,It was a job well done,as they went to church with us ,they love to go to church.Seeds were sown,,then God in His own way reminded me "you were going to clean out the refrigerator days ago"...I replied "Oh God that is such a job ."Well you know when God tells you something it is for your own good or a lesson to be learned .So I rolled up my sleeves and got after it .Now my refrigerator is not that big but it took me forever to get done with it .First of all I removed all the glass shelves and bins(it was like places in my heart I may not want to go into,but God  said do it )Where does all this stuff come from?There was stick on cardboard,dried blood from meats,dried milk,hard stuff I had no idea what it was.I was washing ,changing water often,scrubbing ,it was like a lesson I needed to be taught ,you do not see the stuff until you remove the other stuff blocking it and  empty it out. like our lives we have rooms we  don't want to  enter  because to much to get rid of,but it is for our own good deep cleaning and scrubbing.As I was washing it ,it started to become white and sparkling,it made me think of Jesus washing us in His blood ,then I thought of the dried milk& thought I do not want the milk of the word to dry up in my life.Gosh I even found a dead fly!!!Where did that come from?Oh my isn't there something about a fly in the ointment ruins it ?? I thought God what are you telling me?He was just a grinning ,I am sure ,I kept working,the light in there kept flickering on and off.I screwed it in tighter ,it flashed again I remembered Oh God you are the light of the world .I breathed a prayer let my light not flicker or burn out .Well I got the vegetable bins washed out  and can you imagine what I found in there? Onions and apples together ,they didn't seems to mind being in there  together  .God reminded me some veggies ,some fruits all make up the garden.Like His garden we are all good produce,The onion spoke to me as to say we all have lots of layers to be peeled off by God little at a time.Then the job was done all clean & white .I stepped back and smiled and said thank you God for washing us white as snow & reminding me to clean out the refrigerator ..( a cute thing my son said after he read this ,he said  now the freezer Mom? )
